A Woodward-Granger Community School District administrator has been selected as the 2013 Iowa Central Office Administrator of the Year.

The School Administrators of Iowa chose Linda Carroll as this year’s recipient.  The director of teaching and learning says it’s a privilege to be recognized with the award.  Carroll says the Woodward-Granger district has made tremendous strides over the last several years and she’s fortunate to work with colleagues who truly embrace the district’s mission.

SAI executive director Dan Smith says Carroll has let the district in implementing the Iowa Core and her work with teacher learning teams has provided opportunities to try new approaches and use new technologies.

Carroll has been with the Woodward-Granger district since 2006, previously serving as the middle school principal and curriculum director.  She was nominated by her peers and selected for the award by a committee of Iowa central office administrators.  The award will be handed out at an awards ceremony at the state capital in May.
