A deputy was advised of debris on the roadway near Highway 144 and 220th Street. After an extensive search the deputy was not able to find any debris on the highway.
The Greene County Law Enforcement center was advised by Grand Junction Rescue Captain Mark Renslow of a one vehicle accident that had occurred on Highway 30 (220th Street) over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. A 2010 Toyota Prius being driven by Michael Thomas Kennedy of Jefferson was westbound on 220th and crossing the railroad tracks when his vehicle struck a large piece of steel protruding from the railroad track area. The impact caused Kennedy to lose control of his vehicle and flip onto its side. Mike Kennedy was evaluated at the scene by the Grand Junction Fire and Rescue and then later transported to the Greene County Medical Center for further evaluation. The accident was investigated by three Greene County deputies with assistance from Grand Junction Fire and Rescue. Michael Thomas Kennedy was evaluated and later released from the medical center. Kennedy’s vehicle sustained major damage and was removed by Hoffman Bros. Towing.
A deputy was asked to try and locate a large yellow Labrador running at large in Grand Junction. The deputy was able to find the dog but was unable to apprehend at that time.
A deputy was advised of a pickup truck having mechanical problems in the 2400 block of 337th Street. The owner stated that the vehicle would be removed on Wednesday.
A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle north east of Ralston. The deputy was unable to locate the vehicle upon his arrival.
A deputy spoke with a Grand Junction resident about the possibility of several pets being locked in a house while the owner is away.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
