With the Easter holiday fast approaching, many families from out of state will be visiting.
Raccoon Valley Radio’s Weather Eye Radio Network Meteorologist Ray Miller says its always a good idea to share severe weather information of your county with visitors no matter what time of year it is.
“When we report severe weather, warnings and watches, we refer to the county that is affected and then try to add in details like cities, highways and lakes that may see strong storms and severe weather. Help our visitors and vacationers with some of the basic geography of the area, especially the county they are staying in and some of the cities nearby. Sharing and knowing this information can help keep everyone safe when the weather turns severe.”
It’s always a good idea to have a plan when traveling on the roads so in case of severe weather, you know what to do and where to go to seek shelter. Listen to Raccoon Valley Radio for all your severe weather updates all year around.
