West Central Valley High School is hosting their first annual Career Fair this Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the high school gymnasium and is open to both students and to the public.
West Central Valley High School Alternative Coordinator Alpha Mendelson reports that approximately 80 career fair participants from across Midwest Iowa will be on hand to visit with and answer questions regarding their field of expertise. Mendelson feels this is a great opportunity for the kids, and students are looking forward to having professionals on hand that day so they can visit with them one-on-one in an informal setting.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with zookeepers, doctors, lawyers, dieticians, social workers, drug abuse counselors, law enforcement officers, several representatives in the engineering field, brick layers, lawn care and landscaping experts and a host of other professions to find out what it takes to work in their specific fields. In addition, representatives from 10 area colleges and branches of the military will also be represented.
If you have any questions, or if you or your business would like to be represented, contact Alpha Mendelson at 515-523-1313.
