Panorama Elementary 4^th grader Isaac Jarnagin recently received 1^st place in the state for his entry in the Iowa Firefighters Association poster contest.  In turn, the Panora Fire Department will receive $50 for their fire prevention programs.

Jarnagin’s mother, Kris, says when her son showed interest in this contest, he got plenty of encouragement from his school art instructor, Ginger Lindstrom.  Kris went on to say that Isaac no longer has the poster in his possession, as it became the property of the Iowa Firefighters Association and will be displayed at the Iowa State Fair Hall of Fame.

Isaac is looking forward to attending an awards banquet ceremony in Carroll on April 27 in which he will be honored and receive a $100 cash prize.
