The Perry Police Department is participating in a Drug Take Back Day later this month.

This is the sixth opportunity in three years for the public to help prevent pill abuse and theft in Perry by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

The free and anonymous service is through a partnership between the Drug Enforcement Administration and local law enforcement.  The initiative addresses a vital public safety and public health issue.  Medicines that are left in home cabinets are highly susceptible to theft, misuse or abuse.

The take back event will be held from 10am-2pm at the Perry Police Department.
