Jefferson’s Bell Tower Festival is coming up on June 7th and 8th.

Greene County Chamber Executive Director Ken Paxton says that this year’s festival will be the biggest yet with the combination of the Lincoln Highway celebrating its 100th anniversary.  Paxton expresses that because it will be so big and several new and unique items, he is requesting the public’s help to volunteer to come to tonight’s meeting.

“We would appreciate anyone who wants to come by.  There’s a lot of committees and a lot of various things you can be a part of.  You can be a part of everything from setup, work some of the booths, we can work the beer garden, you can work the wine tasting tent (and) the dances.  There’s just a lot of things going on and we would just really love the help because we have a lot of people coming to this and this is the most important event of the year for us.”

The meeting will be at 5:30pm in the Jefferson City Hall Council Chambers tonight.  And a reminder for those organizations and groups planning on an event at the festival are to attend the meeting so the committee is aware of what you want to do.
