The Greene County High School girls and Carroll High boys were team champions on Monday at the Ram Relays in Jefferson. The Rams finished second to Carroll by 20 points just a week earlier in Carroll, but this time the Rams were winners over the Tigers 128.67-119. Boone was third at 113.33, followed by East Sac County (Lake View) 77, ADM (Adel) 67, Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) 45, and 32 for Perry. Carroll easily won the boys’ team title with 144 points with Boone edging the Rams for second place 85.84. Kuemper Catholic scored 74 points to 73 for Perry, 49 by East Sac County, 28 from Prairie Valley (Gowrie), and 19 from Guthrie Center.

Greene County won three girls events. Quinn Flack won the discus throw at 119′ 10″; Allison Higgins won the 3,000 meter run in 11:41.65;  the 10 flight shuttle hurdle relay in 1:09.40 with Sarah Sandage, Chelsi Wilkens, Kate Sandage, and Eme Johnson. The ADM girls won the 100 meter dash in 12.94 seconds with Kari Dufoe, the 4 x 200 meter relay in 1:53.00 with Madison Bertman, Brianna Mueller, Regan Engelman, and Dufoe. The Tigers also won the sprint medley relay in 1:57.32 with Maggie Bjustrom, Bertman, Dufoe, and Mueller.  Daisy Cerna had the lone win for the Perry girls when she captured the 1,500 meter run in 5:32.77.

On the boys’ side, Greene County had victories from the 4 x 800 meter relay in 8:41.42 with Nick Benson, Andrew Marshall, Max Neese, and Jake Christensen, and the 4 x 200 meter relay in 1:37.35 with JC Weitl, Christensen, Benson, and Roman Phillips. Perry went one-two in the long jump with Ben Daniels winning with a leap of 21′ 1-1/2″ and Will Whiton second in 20′ 5-1/4″. The Blue Jays won the distance medley relay in 3:44.59 with Caleb Jans, Whiton, Daniels and Atem Akok. Whiton won the 100 meter dash in 11.61 seconds.
