Greene County girls’ golf coach Keith Vander Wilt has seen his team compete in three meets this season, but just one full practice. The practice didn’t take place until Tuesday, April 16 at The Hill west of Grand Junction. “That was the first practice outside with the entire team.” The unusually cold and wet weather has made it difficult for all spring sports teams to practice and compete. Coach Vander Wilt said the day before the first meet at The Hill he took the girls to the course even though the weather was bad so they could see it. Many of the Rams had never even seen the course.

The Rams are scheduled to meet Carlisle today (Thurs.), but like everything outdoors this spring, it is weather permitting.
