The Perry Jayette softball team surrendered 12 first inning runs Monday night in losing to Carlisle 13-1 in three innings.  The 5th ranked Wildcats set the tone early with the monstrous first inning, at one point stretching 8 consecutive hits together.  Perry’s one highlight was provided by senior third baseman Katie Englund when she connected for her first home run of the season.  It was the 4th home run hit this year by the Jayettes.  Perry falls to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the RRC.  The difficult week continues for Perry tonight when they travel to Greene County for a 7:30 non conference game with the Rams.  You can listen to the game on KDLS AM 1310.
