Magician Chris McBrien was the featured performer at the United Methodist Church in Jefferson yesterday.

He was part of the kids summer reading program “Dig Into Reading”.  He performed magic tricks and talked about the importance of reading at a young age.

Children’s Librarian Terri Clark says having something as special as a magician really drew a lot of attention for the program.

“This is amazing, because a lot of times we don’t have the funding for a performer to come in.  And he is coming to all six libraries in the county, so each library gets to have him as their performer which is a wonderful thing for the children.”
