The deadline for 4-H entries for the Greene County Fair is Monday, June 17th.
ISU Greene County Extension Coordinator Michael Cooley says the deadline is usually the 15th, but if it falls on a Saturday like this year, the deadline is moved to the following Monday, June 17th. He describes some of the details that 4-H’ers need to follow when filling out entry forms.
“There’s some places where they (4-H’ers) need to initial (and) there’s some dollars to pay in order to reserve the pens that you want to reserve; there’s also initials for the parents and guardians as well. So make sure to take a look at that and don’t put that off too much until the last minute so you can get all the right information to put in there.”
Cooley points out that after next Monday’s deadline will be a penalty fee of $25 per family, if you choose to make a late entry for the county fair. The deadline is at 4:30pm on Monday, June 17th. Call the extension office at 386-2155 for more information.
