Guthrie County Attorney Mary Benton recently told the county supervisors about transporting
and setting a trial date for the two suspects in the May 20th bank robbery robbery in Stuart.
Wayne Eugene Palmer, Jr. and Hannah Elizabeth Reisinger, both of Carlisle, Pennsylvania were
arrested last week in Los Angeles, in relation to the First State Bank Robbery in Stuart.
Reisinger waived extradition and will soon be voluntarily transported to Iowa. Palmer has not
waived extradition, so Benton has filed paperwork through the State of Iowa to the State of
California for his transport.
Benton informed supervisors it will cost the county $1,326.16 to transport each prisoner.
Additional travel expenses are likely for FBI and Los Angeles agents involved in the
apprehension of the suspects when a trial date is finally set.
