The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors held their second meeting of the week yesterday. The board reviewed the previous meetings minutes, and approved this week’s agenda.
Josh Sebern, Guthrie County Engineer, spoke to the board about a contract for an asphalt overlay project F63, which was tabled until next week.
Sebern also stated that things are progressing concerning the bridge repairs north of Jamaica.
Nations Bridge and Deer Bridge were mentioned as a concern due to debris pile-up from continuous rain.
Also a team will be going by the Springbrook road to ensure that it is fully repaired before RAGBRAI comes to town.
The last item that Sebern laid on the table was the need for replacement doors and frames at the main shop, which could cost around $1,900 each.
The Supervisors meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 AM at the Courthouse and the meetings are open to the public.
