The Greene County 4-H Communications contest was held earlier this month in Jefferson.

4-H Youth and Families Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says one individual qualified for this year’s Iowa State Fair and one will move on to compete at the Clay County Fair.

Arthur Bardole will represent Greene County 4-H at the Iowa State Fair for his educational presentation on “Tadpole Shrimp”.  Jared Marshall will compete at the Clay County Fair in Spencer with his educational presentation of “I’m All Ears”.

Reynolds notes that since the Greene County Fair doesn’t have communication exhibits, the contest had to be done earlier but judges can send projects to the Clay County Fair and have a chance of qualifying for the state fair.
