A deputy was dispatched to Grand Junction to help settle a family dispute between brothers.
A deputy was dispatched to Scranton to take a report on several windows that had been broken out of a vehicle.
A deputy was asked to investigate a harassment complaint in Grand Junction.
A deputy assisted the driver and passengers of a vehicle that was experiencing mechanical problems on 190th Street near Farlin.
Saturday, June 22nd
A deputy while on routine patrol in Paton, noticed a younger person walking with unopened beer containers in the park area. Lincoln Spencer Sibbitt of Rinard, Iowa, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of alcohol under legal age.
A deputy was advised of cattle on the roadway at E-18 near X Avenue.
A deputy was asked to locate an erratic and careless driver on 220th Street and X Avenue. The vehicle was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was advised of a structure fire at 2250 X Avenue. Rippey and Grand Junction fire units were dispatched to the vacant farmhouse which was fully engulfed upon their arrival. The fire is suspicious and is under investigation at this time.
A deputy was advised of criminal mischief to a stop sign in Grand Junction.
A deputy was asked to check a field fire that was reported just south of Jefferson. It appears that corn stalks were being burnt to eliminate the debris.
A deputy was asked to transport a stray dog from a residence in Grand Junction to the animal shelter in Jefferson.
Sunday, June 23rd
A deputy assisted the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office with a fish investigation.
A deputy was asked to check on a roadway wash out that had developed near Scranton Manufacturing in Scranton. The Greene County Secondary Roads was contacted and did place barricades along the roadway.
A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a property damage call.
A deputy was advised of a harassment complaint in Dana. Both parties were informed not to make contact with each other in the future.
In cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
