Guthrie County is searching for someone to represent them at the Iowa State Fair Queen contest this August.
You do not need to be a 4-H or FFA member, although you must be an active member of at least one of the following service organizations: Girl Scouts, FCCLA,  a church group, or any other organization along these lines.

All young women between the ages of 16 and 21 are eligible, and if you are interested in participating the deadline to apply is July 5th, says Megan Sloss of the Guthrie County Extension Office.

Sloss says that interviews to represent Guthrie County will be held July 12th at 6 PM at the Extension Office, “the coronation of the Guthrie County Fair Queen will be announced the following Monday July 15th at 8 PM at the Fairground community building.”
