The large amount rain we received on June 14th caused a bit of a problem at Lake Panorama.
The lake was closed a few days to ensure the safety of the Lake Panorama members out enjoying the weather.
John Rutledge, general manager of Lake Panorama Association stated that the waters at
Lake Panorama received a tremendous amount of rain on June 14th and as a result they received a lot of debris.
Enough to overwhelm our debris trap on June 15th and we closed the lake from the 15th until the 19th added Rutledge.
Rutledge also said that the lake was reopened on Wednesday, June 19th but they have discouraged people from towing
and using jet skies for the time being because there are still some floating hazards in the lake.
Due to some floating debris still being in the waters, please be careful.
Lake Panorama is open and Rutledge encourages extreme caution due to the fact that there is still some remaining
debris that they have not been able to get out.
We all enjoy the summer and look forward to enjoying the water activities that are made available however let’s do our part
and throw away our own debris so it doesn’t end up in our waterways like Lake Panorama.
