A deputy was advised that a soda vending machine was tipped over on Main Street in Grand Junction. The owner of the machine was informed of the situation.
The chief deputy issued a 10 day abandoned vehicle notice to a vehicle owner on behalf of a Grand Junction resident.
The chief deputy issued two 10 day abandoned vehicle notices to their owners on behalf of a Churdan resident.
A deputy was dispatched to Squirrel Hollow Park for the report of motorcycle dirt bikes being ridden and trespassing in the park and wildlife area. The deputy subsequently found and did cite Michael Teeples and Austin Smith both of Jefferson for Prohibited use in Parks and Wildlife areas and for failure to have a valid motorcycle endorsement.
A deputy was dispatched to the new Raccoon River boat ramp west of Jefferson on old Highway 30 for the report of youth riding dirt bikes around the area. The two youth were found and did admit to the deputy of being involved with the previous dirt bike call. No further action was taken by the deputy.
A deputy was advised of a car being driven on the bike trail north from Cooper. The vehicle was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was advised of a careless and erratic driver in the 1700 block of 330th Street. The vehicle was not found at that time.
A deputy was asked to pick up a stray kitten from a residence in Grand Junction.
A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle in Grand Junction. The vehicle was never located but the sheriff’s office will continue to investigate this call.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
