There’s a new police officer working to protect the lives and property of those in Panora.
Yale resident Josh Armstrong was recently selected to fill the vacancy on the department. He will be joining the force in the next couple of weeks. Armstrong brings with him combat experience, after serving two tours in Afghanistan as a U.S. Marine.
Officer Craig Ford who left at the end of June for a deputy sheriff’s job in eastern Iowa left the vacant position that Armstrong is expected to fill.
Law enforcement runs in the family since Armstrong’s father is a veteran police officer.
