We’re now less than two weeks away from inviting up to 30,000 visitors into Perry for RAGBRAI.
Putting plans together for the overnight stop takes months of preparation and many sets of hands the day of. More people are needed to make sure everyone has “Nothin’ but a Good Time!” in Perry.
Bob Wilson with the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce says there is something for people of all ages, abilities and interests to do. From serving in the beverage garden, to picking up trash to helping give directions and greeting visitors. He says it’s the people helping out that make all the difference.
The goal is for RAGBRAIers to remember Perry at the end of the week. Wilson says we want riders to think Perry was the best stop along the route and if they do, we should get see a financial return from the event.
