The public is invited to the 2013 Greene County Fair for several events on Thursday.

Greene County Extension Coordinator Michael Cooley says Thursday starts with one of the main events being the 4-H swine show in the show arena at 8am.

Cooley notes that at noon is another kid-friendly activity for all kids to enjoy is the annual Ag Olympics in Clover Hall.

“It’s an obstacle course of different agricultural-related, on-the-farm, type of things that you might so like a wheelbarrow race, toss-the-egg or haul the water bucket and those types of things.”

Then at 2:30pm, Cooley states there will be a cattle fitting competition also at Clover Hall followed by the 4-H rabbit show at 4:30pm and the 4-H horse and pony show at 6:30pm, both at the show-ring area.

The night caps off with a free outdoor movie on the fairgrounds in Jefferson at 9pm put on by the 4-H young leaders.
