The postseason has been completed for all 10 Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball programs and the all-conference selections have been made public. Greene County, North Polk (Alleman), and PCM (Monroe) tied for first place in the league standings. All three were 13-5 in conference games and the Rams were 26-10 overall.
Coach Tom Kennedy’s Rams had senior Jennifer Kennedy (pitcher), sophomore Marissa Promes (catcher), and senior Mady Adamson (third base) on the first all-conference team. Sophomores Emily Christensen (shortstop) and Tressa Rasmussen (center field) were second team selections while sophomores Hannah Onken (first base) and Emma Saddoris (second base) were honorable mention selections.
NP senior pitcher Rebecca Sieve and Roland Story (Story City) sophomore infielder Bryce Holmgren were the only players voted unanimously to the first team. Other first team selections were Cassie Shadlow, R-S, Brittany Nicholson, South Hamilton (Jewell), Abigail Gilson, Payge Edwards, and Kelsey Townsend of PCM, Sydnie Fahrney of Colfax-Mingo, and Lizzy Miklus of Saydel (Des Moines).
Other second team selections were Cheyanne Warne and Mackenzie Schmitz of CMB, Calista Koeneke and Johanna Holck of Gilbert, Amy Russell and Alivia Haley of C-M, Makayla Burt and Brandi Rose of NP, Katelyn McEachron of Saydel, and Ena Moats of R-S.
Each school had two honorable mention selections. They are:
