Final 2013 softball statistics have been released for the Greene County Rams season. The Rams went 26-10 under head coach Tom Kennedy and assistant Greg Ruth and tied for first place in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference with PCM (Monroe) and North Polk (Alleman).

Sophomore catcher Marissa Promes led the team in batting average at .419. She had one home run, 12 doubles, and 30 runs batted in. Promes led the team in hits (54) and on-base percentage (.457). Senior Mady Adamson was next at .386 and sophomore Emily Christensen batted .378. Christensen led the team in RBI (31), doubles (15) and triples (5). Other Rams batting .300 or above were sophomores Tressa Rasmussen (.340) and Hannah Onken (.300), and senior Jennifer Kennedy (.333). Onken’s two homers led the team in that category Kennedy’s 35 runs scored were just ahead of the 34 scored by sophomore Emma Saddoris, who had 34 runs scored.

Kennedy was 17-7 as a pitcher with a 1.73 earned run average. Opponents batted .192 against her. Promes was 9-3 on the pitching rubber with a 1.97 ERA and .242 opponents’ BA.
