Tax-free weekend is here again and it is time to get everything those young ones need to have a successful school year.

Geri Thompson, president of Guthrie Center Chamber, says, “Guthrie Center Chamber encourages everybody to shop locally this tax-free weekend.”

The whole point to shop locally is to give back to the community where you live.

This is Iowa’s 14th annual sales Tax Holiday and it will apply only on select clothing and footwear. Businesses that are open on these days are required to participate.

Check out your neighborhood stores today and Saturday, and save some money and pay it forward to your home town.
