Perry area parents and children are invited to golf for a good cause this weekend.
The annual Trent Miner Parent-Child Golf Tournament takes place Sunday at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
There are two divisions in the event. Children age 13 and younger and their partners will tee off at 9am and play 9 holes. The cost is $10 per golfer and includes lunch and a gift bag for the kids.
At noon the 14 and older group will tee off and play 18 holes for a $25 registration fee that includes dinner.
Partners don’t have to be related to participate, just needs to be a young golfer with a parent, grandparent, relative or adult friend.
There will be a betting hole, putting contest, flag events and low score prizes throughout the day.
In addition to the golf games there will also be a raffle, mulligans for sale and a silent auction.
Proceeds from the event go to the Trent Miner Scholarship fund.
