Greene County Emergency Medical Services personnel were paged to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center to evaluate and possibly transport a prisoner to the Greene County Medical Center for further medical attention. The prisoner was transported for further testing and then returned to the law enforcement center. A deputy and jail personnel also assisted with the transport and were present at the Medical Center.

A deputy was dispatched to Dana for a reported Facebook web site scam that was initiated from their home computer. The resident stated that her husband was attempting to secure a $10,000 Federal Grant that was advertised on Facebook and the responder from the web site asked them to go to a major retail business and purchase two money pack cards totaling $480 for the down payment to initiate the $10,000 grant. They were then asked to scratch off the coded numbers from the back of the cards and provide those numbers to the website. This allows the persons at the fraudulent site to then go to a similar business location as to where the cards were purchased and retrieve the dollar amount specified on the two cards. They were also asked and did provide other personal information.  The Greene County Sheriff’s Office would again like to reiterate that many fraudulent schemes exist and if you are unsure as to their legality please call the Sheriff’s Office before you send or give personal information.

A deputy was advised of a vehicle that was experiencing mechanical problems on 220th Street just east of W Avenue. The owner stated it would be removed by the end of the day.

A deputy initiated a traffic stop on 130th Street at P Avenue and subsequently arrested Timothy Lewis Marshall of Lohrville, Iowa, for Operating While Impaired 3rd Offense.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
