A third local resident has been re-elected to the Iowa Soybean Association’s Board of Directors.
Sheila Hebenstreit of Jefferson represents district 4 on the board, whose goal is to develop policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally safe practices for soybean production.
Hebenstreit’s new term will begin September 5th and lasts until 2016. She joins the board with fellow directors Ron Heck of Perry and Jim Andrew also of Jefferson who both hold at large positions.
The Iowa Soybean Association is made up of 10,000 members and is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
