A reminder to Stuart residents… the 3rd annual River to River Classic Car Road Trip will pass through town tomorrow as part of its three-day journey across the state of Iowa.
David Darby, Executive Director of the Iowa U.S. Route 6 Tourist Association, says he expects the 150-plus vintage cars involved with the trip to drive through Stuart sometime between 12:30 and 1 p.m. on their way to the Menlo Cafe where they will be stopping for lunch.
Darby encourages anybody with a classic or vintage car to park it along the side of Route 6 to add to the celebration as participating cars pass by. Darby also says many participants will even wear vintage clothing to further embrace the good ‘ol days atmosphere of the event.
The Iowa U.S. Route 6 Tourist Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the economic development of small towns and rural communities that are located along historic highway 6.
