There are three seats up for election on the Jefferson City Council in November.  Those openings represent Districts 1 and 3 and one “at large” seat.

City Administrator Mike Palmer would like to invite any potential candidates as well as the general public to an informational workshop at the Greene County Community Center next Thursday.

Palmer says the one-hour workshop will provide an overview of Jefferson’s City government structure, current City projects and the responsibilities and time commitments to be an elected City official.

The workshop will be at 6pm on Thursday, September 5th.  Nomination papers are now available at City Hall which is located at 220 North Chestnut Street.
