Greene County area businesses and employers interested in learning more about the specialized field of occupational medicine are invited to today’s luncheon at the Greene County Medical Center.

DOT Certified Nurse with the occupational clinic Julie Schroeder has 30 years nursing experience in a variety of medical fields and she explains why she wanted to be a part of the occupational clinic at GCMC.

“Occupational medicine is a growing field right now and it’s just something different everyday.  Everyday I meet a new employee or employer and the circumstances are always different.  So like I said, its the variety that I love.”

She says they provide DOT and re-certifications for physicals, EKG’s, basic hearing and vision screenings, immunizations and on-site educational and safety meetings plus several other services.

The luncheon will be in the public health classroom from 11:30-1pm today for any interested employer looking for a new way to provide medical care for their employees.
