footballADM’s football team hopes to make it three wins in a row tonight as the Tigers face the unbeaten Creston Panthers at home.

After facing unique offenses the past two weeks against Winterset and Glenwood, ADM’s defense led by the likes of Isaac Norton and Darold Baker will face an offense tonight that they’re used to seeing in practice everyday.

The Tigers and Panthers run almost identical offensive systems, and head coach Mike Whisner expects tonight to be a close battle with both teams knowing the ins and outs of each other’s styles of play.

With that being said, Whisner says there are two main keys to tonight’s district match-up.

“I think both teams, because that’s the reality of it is we run similar offenses.  It’s gonna come down to who runs their offense most effectively and the defense that makes plays and gets turnovers.  Last year, I think they had four turnovers, maybe five that we capitalized on.  So, that’s the name of the game especially when you run similar things–it’s who’s going to be executing their offense the best.”

Creston and ADM are both near the tops of a couple Class 3-A offensive categories.  The Tigers boast the 6th best total offense after three games, averaging 424 yards per game.  Creston’s offense isn’t quite as prolific in terms of yards gained, but the Panthers can put up the points.  They have averaged 40 points per game so far, which is makes them the 4th best scoring offense in 3-A.

Offensive execution and efficiency–that’s the key tonight.  Find out which team does it best starting at 7 o’clock on 107.9 FM, KKRF.
