Paton-Churdan was a winner in five sets on Thursday night in Churdan vs. Glidden-Ralston in Rolling Valley Conference volleyball. Scores were 20-25, 25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11. The Rockets improved to 4-6 overall in matches and 2-2 in the conference. They stand at 15-18 in games.

Coach Hannah Boehmer said she was proud of the effort and was glad to win. “After losing in five games in our last home match vs. Woodbine it was important for us to win a close one,” she said.

The match was close throughout and service errors may have played a role. G-R had 16 errors serving while P-C had only seven.

P-C is off until a Sept. 24 conference match vs. CAM at Anita at 6 p.m.
