The public is invited to a dedication ceremony of the Paul Nally Park at Jefferson’s St. Joseph’s Parish Center.

Committee Co-chair Peg Raney says since the project began in late June, they installed various rides and other playground equipment along with a shelter house and picnic tables for the public to enjoy, all with funds derived from the late benefactor Paul Nally and other church members’ donations.

She comments that the committee which includes her husband Bill, Larry Lang, Kathy Morain, Mary Jane Fields and Tom Feldmann are very appreciative of all the volunteers and are excited for the dedication ceremony this Sunday at 3pm on the east side of the parish center in Jefferson.  There will about be refreshments served.

Future plans are to plant 37 trees from a grant by Alliant Energy’s Branching Out program which gave the project another $3,525 and to have security lights installed.
