The ADM volleyball team will play in perhaps its biggest match of the season tomorrow night, as the Tigers take on conference foe Bondurant-Farrar on the road.
ADM has actually lost to the Bluejays twice already this season, but those were in non-conference invitationals, and the Tigers didn’t have a fully healthy roster at the time.
With a perfect 5-0 conference record on the line tomorrow night, head coach Mary Beth Scott hopes her team can find a way to avenge their early season defeats against Bondurant-Farrar, but it’s going to be tough.
“The first time they beat us pretty easily, but we had two players out that time–it was a little more confusion time for us. Then the second time we played them, we went three games with them and they were very tight (games), and we still did not have our complete lineup. So, we’re looking forward to this third time–I think it’s going to be a battle. And they’re a good team too, they’re scrappy. They have one real tall girl, other than that they keep sending the ball back and that’s what we’re hoping to do to them as well.”
Bondurant-Farrar enters tomorrow night’s contest with ADM at 19-9 on the season. The Bluejays are led by senior Ashley Burrows, who is sixth in the Raccoon River Conference in kills with 134, and second in service aces with 31.
See if the Tigers can slow Burrows down and move one step closer to a conference championship. The match is set to begin at 7pm.
