A reminder for Jefferson and Greene County residents.

The Jefferson City Hall and city offices will be closed in observance of Columbus Day.  The Jefferson Public Library, the post office and the Greene County Chamber will also be closed.

The library would like to remind you that nothing is due to the library when its closed for a holiday.

Garbage routes in Jefferson will be delayed one day due to the holiday.  So today’s route will be picked up tomorrow and continued on a one day delay for the rest of the week and will go back to its normal routes next week.

However, all county and state government offices along with the Greene County Community Center will be open today.
