The Perry school board will hold their monthly meeting tonight.
Items on the agenda including canvassing of the September 10th school board election results and welcoming Kyle Baxter and Marjean Gries to the board.
Next is the annual organizational meeting where the new board will elect officers, select a time and location for the regular board meetings, make committee selections and select representatives for the Iowa Association of School Boards and Dallas County Conference Board.
The board will then hear reports from middle school teacher Carla Wood who attended the Library of Congress’s summer institute, along with the director of teaching and Superintendent.
General business items include approval of an 8th grade band trip, approval of contracts for games and officials and authorizing the athletic director to utilize the board president’s electronic signature.
Finally the board will consider a Title I application, approve participation in the Iowa Drug and Alcohol testing program, approve account signers for the district’s bank accounts, approve board policy revisions and personnel changes.
The meeting takes place at 6:30pm in the Brady Library at Perry High School.
