A reminder that “Trick-Or-Treat Around The Square” is tonight in Jefferson from 5-6pm and the regular city-wide night is scheduled for Thursday, October 31st from 5:30-7:30pm.

Other communities in Greene County have also scheduled their city trick-or-treating nights.  In Scranton, it’ll be from 5-7pm on Saturday, October 26th.

The rest will take place on Halloween night, October 31st.  Kids in Grand Junction will be out from 5-7pm, Rippey’s city-wide trick-or-treating event will be from 5:30-7:30pm and Paton’s is from 6-8pm.

Jefferson Police Chief Dave Morlan wants to remind you that an adult should be with kids as they are out at any town’s respective trick-or-treating times and make sure they don’t go into anyone’s vehicle or house that the child doesn’t know.

He states that motorists need to be mindful of children on the streets and sidewalks and the motoring public shouldn’t be on any electronic device that may distract someone from driving.
