The Greene County High School National Honor Society will be hosting a fundraiser and dance for middle school students this Friday.
Advisor Ruth Broman says the dance will be at the Webb House in Jefferson from 8:00-10:30pm for sixth through eighth graders. She comments that her NHS students are working with Lots of Socks organization and explains what roll NHS will play for the dance.
“And we are in the process of trying to raise some funds to help this organization provide some clothing for our elementary students and the early childhood learning center. And so all the proceeds from the dance will go to the local organization Lots of Socks.”
Other services that NHS provides throughout the year, adds Broman, are helping to deliver meals with Meals On Wheels, boxing up groceries at the Action Resource Center and participating in Relay for Life.
Broman states they try to do service projects as a way to say thank you to those organizations who help and support the community.
Admission for the dance is $3 per student with all proceeds to benefit Lots of Socks.
