The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting a Fire by Friction program at the Kuehn Conservation Area next month.
The program will remind participants about the ancient skill of creating a fire with a bow drill. The interactive lesson allows attendees to build their own bow drill kit and use it to start tinder bundles on fire.
It takes place along the Houston Tail Sunday November 17th from noon-2pm.
