Tomorrow will mark the the second week of existence for a new Stuart restaurant that is quickly becoming very popular.
Los Altos Mexican Restaurant originated in Greenfield, but a second location opened on Friday, October 18th in Stuart, and so far, for a restaurant without even a sign on the door, things are off to a great start for Manager Luis Huerta and his staff.
“The people like the food. The people come back almost everyday, sometimes twice a day so it’s (been) very good for us. We’ve had a very good response from our customers so I appreciate it.”
Huerta says the restaurant has been so busy through its first two weeks that he’s already considered ways he could expand their current occupied space. He’d also like to open up more Los Altos restaurants down the road, especially with his new proximity close to the Interstate.
“In the future, we will look for more locations probably. Now, we sublease there (in Greenfield) and we’re working to get another location, couple more… I don’t know how many. The thing is the people like our food, and now our family we have eight total, so (things) are very good.”
Los Altos took the space of what was formerly the Coach’s Corner restaurant on South Division Street in Stuart. Coach’s Corner closed down operations earlier this year.
