Everyone is invited to celebrate the late William Bell this weekend.
The 35th annual William Bell Memorial Tuba and Euphonium Day clinic and concert takes place Saturday.
Local musicians will join a group of professionals as they rehearse throughout the afternoon before presenting a public concert for all to enjoy.
Bell is one of the most well-known tuba players of his day, and he’s buried at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
Anyone interested in participating in the ensemble should arrive at the First United Methodist Church for registration at 12:30pm.
The performance takes place at 4pm. It’s free and open to the public.
