Merchants throughout Perry’s downtown district will be opening their doors and offering some special treats this weekend.

In conjunction with Art on the Prairie, this weekend is also the Holiday Open House for local businesses.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Wilson says even if you frequent the many shops in Perry you’re likely to uncover something new this weekend.

“This is a huge weekend, and it’s kind of the kicker off of the holiday season for me too.  The holiday open houses are a great way to experience the amenities we have, not only in the downtown area but all over town.  So come out, shop local for all your holiday needs.  It’s amazing what we have” says Wilson.

The holiday open house will feature specials, gift ideas, refreshments and door prizes.  It takes place Saturday and Sunday in Perry.
