The Panora Chamber of Commerce and the Panora Area Development Group, better known as PRIDE, will have their annual combined dinner this Thursday at the Lake Panorama National Resort Conference Center.

The event will feature a talk from Chris Voggesser, a Lake Panorama summer resident and the current President of the Chamber of Commerce and Development Connection in West Des Moines, about the correlation and similarities between economic development in smaller and bigger cities in the state.

Panora Chamber President Cheryl Castile says the annual dinner is important for the Chamber and for PRIDE because it allows the two separate entities to simply get together and get on the same page.

“There is a big crossover of membership–many of the people who belong to PRIDE also belong to Chamber–but it’s just nice to have that connection and bring those two groups together at least once a year.  We work back-and-forth together some throughout the year, but this is the major meeting where we can get together and appreciate each other and the work that (the other) does.”

Thursday’s dinner will begin at 6:30pm and the cost for participation is $15.  Local residents who would like to attend can contact Castile at 641-755-2424.  Registration must be entered by tomorrow at the latest.
