fsaThe U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Services Agency in Guthrie County has some important information for crop producers in the local area.

FSA Executive Director Brandon Jazz has announced that fall seeded small grains and perennial forage producers must file accurate reports for their crops and land uses by December 15th to avoid possible loss of FSA program benefits.  Failed acreage must also be reported.

All other crop producers must hand in their crop and land use reports by July 15th of next year.

Jazz also notes that policyholders of the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) must report their acreage use and crop certifications by December 15th or at least 15 calendar days before the grazing or harvesting of their crop begins.

There are some exceptions that apply to the aforementioned acreage reporting dates.  For questions about those exceptions or about the crop certification reports in general, contact the Guthrie County FSA office at 641-332-2640.
