Perry Fine Arts is getting ready for their next upcoming concert next month.
Coming up Sunday December 8th, mariachi band The 3 Amigos will entertain area residents at the Perry Performing Arts Center.
Duane Griffin with Perry Fine Arts says this is a new program and one many are looking forward to.
“In the past several years we’ve been trying to coordinate with our Latino community here in Perry. And so this is The 3 Amigos mariachi band, that’s coming from Kansas City. Usually they tend to not leave the Kansas City area, but we’re doing a special thing to bring them up here. If you like mariachi music that’s a good time to come hear them and we especially would like the Latino community to come support if possible” says Griffin. T
The trio plays popular mariachi tunes as well as music from Central and South America, Cuba and the Caribbean.
The program is made possible in part by a grant from the Bock Family Foundation.
The performance takes place at 2pm December 8th. The event is free and open to the public, though donations are accepted.
