Local youth are coming together with the Perry Police Department to help families in need this holiday season.
The E.D.G.E. ministries youth group is hosting a soup supper next week, with all proceeds going to support the Shop with a Cop program.
Shop with a Cop matches kids from the Perry community up with police officers, fire fighters and other first responders. They visit local businesses to pick out gifts for their immediate family and are also sent home with everything needed to make a holiday meal for the whole family.
Everyone is invited to take the day off from cooking and enjoy a variety of soups, sides and desserts before Thanksgiving next Wednesday.
It takes place at the First Christian Church in Perry starting at 5pm Wednesday, November 27th.
