Guthrie Elem_SchoolWe reported on the credentialing results for Guthrie Center School District students in 7th through 11th grade from the 2012-13 school year a couple months ago, and we now have the results for elementary aged students.

Last year, 61% of all elementary students from Kindergarten through 6th grade were fully credentialed in all subject areas according to data obtained from Guthrie Center Curriculum Director Judy Bauler.

When breaking down credentialing results to specific subject areas, K-6th graders were most proficient in science, with 91% of students credentialed.  Reading was the lowest level of proficiency, with 79% of students credentialed.  Math, writing and employability had 85%, 84% and 80% of students credentialed respectively.

According to the Guthrie Center Schools’ Response to Intervention (RTI) plan, students who are not credentialed in a specific academic area will receive additional help through Tiger Time, Odyssey or other teacher-generated activities throughout this school year.
