A popular event for Panora youth is coming up this weekend as we approach the Christmas holiday.
Panora Chamber President Cheryl Castile has been a part of Saturday’s festivities for many years, and she invites everybody in the local area to bring their families out for a good time.
“Camp Candy Cane is a really fun activity for all the kids, little ones on up. There are games, there is face painting, there are treats… then they can go see Santa Claus and sit on his lap. It’s a really fun day for the kids and then they can also enjoy our french toast brunch and that runs from 7:30am until I believe it’s 12:30pm.”
Camp Candy Cane will be held in Panora’s Vet’s Auditorium while the french toast breakfast will be held in the adjacent Community Building.
Castile asks that families who plan to attend this weekend bring a canned good to be donated to the local food pantry. There is no charge associated with the french toast breakfast, but free will offerings will be accepted.
