Dallas Center Grimes sprinted out to a 19-4 first quarter lead and never looked back Tuesday night winning 89-58. Five different Mustangs hit double figures with Andrew Kramer’s 14 leading the way. Kramer set the tone early with 12 first quarter points. DCG dominated the offensive glass and scored a number of second and third chance points. 6-7 forward Austin Rix was too much to handle for the Bluejay post defenders scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Perry was led by Cavan Finn’s 14 points and Blake Lansing’s 12 and Shammond Ivory’s 12. The Bluejays cut it down to 10 early in the second half following three’s by Finn, Ivory and Will Whiton. DCG improves to 3-1 while Perry falls to 1-2. The Jays travel to Huxley Friday night for a girl boy doubleheader.
